1. Connect with parents, agencies, or appropriate parties to tell them about the problem, identify the cause of the problem, and discuss potential solutions to the problem.

12. Show the learner that feelings of pessimism are natural, but a public display of that emotion should be limited.

13. Make the learner aware of logical consequences that happen due to the learner’s displays of pessimism (e.g., others prefer not to interact with the learner, they will not be chosen by peers to join learning activities, etc.).
