Ferris State University sits on an 880-acre campus in Big Rapids, a town in the west-central part of the state. Ferris State students can select from 170-degree programs offered through the university’s many colleges. The institution has a 16 to 1 student\/faculty ratio, and the curriculum emphasizes technical and professional skills that readily lead to employment. Students can select from roughly 220 student organizations. The Ferris State Bulldogs play in the NCAA Division II\u00a0Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference\u00a0(GLIAC). Ice hockey plays the Division I Central Collegiate Hockey Association.<\/p>\n
