How to Fix It When Pluto TV Isn’t Working on Roku

Pluto TV is a popular streaming service that offers a myriad of live TV channels and on-demand content, all for free. However, it can be frustrating when Pluto TV is not working on your Roku device. In this article, we will offer you some troubleshooting tips to resolve this issue and restore your streaming experience.

1. Check Your Internet Connection:

First and foremost, ensure that your internet connection is stable and strong enough to support streaming. You can check this by testing the connection on other devices or by running a speed test. If there are any issues, try restarting your modem/router or moving closer to the Wi-Fi signal.

2. Restart Your Roku Device:

A simple restart can sometimes solve most technical issues. Unplug your Roku device from the power source for a few seconds before plugging it back in. Let it reboot completely before trying to access the Pluto TV app again.

3. Update the Pluto TV App and Roku Software:

Updating both the Pluto TV app and Roku software can help resolve any compatibility issues that may be causing problems with streaming. To do this:

   a) Press the Home button on your Roku remote.

   b) Navigate to Settings > System > System update.

   c) Click “Check Now” to search for any available updates.

   d) If updates are found, follow the on-screen instructions to install them.

4. Reinstall the Pluto TV App:

If updating doesn’t fix the issue, try removing and reinstalling the Pluto TV app on your Roku:

   a) Press the Home button on your Roku remote.

   b) Highlight Pluto TV app using arrow buttons but do not click it.

   c) Press the * (asterisk) button to open the Options menu.

   d) Select “Remove channel” and confirm when prompted.

Once removed, reinstall Pluto TV:

   e) Navigate to Streaming Channels > Search Channels and enter “Pluto TV.”

   f) Select “Add Channel” to install the app again.

After installation, check whether Pluto TV is now working.

5. Check Pluto TV’s Social Media and Support:

Sometimes, there might be server-side issues on Pluto TV’s end that are causing streaming problems. Check Pluto TV’s social media accounts or support page to find information about any known issues or server outages.

6. Factory Reset Your Roku Device:

If all else fails, performing a factory reset on your Roku device can potentially help resolve the issue. Keep in mind that doing so will erase your personalised settings and channels, which you’ll need to set up again after resetting.

   a) Press Home on your Roku remote.

   b) Go to Settings > System > Advanced system settings.

   c) Select “Factory reset” and follow the prompts to complete the process.

After resetting your Roku device, reinstall the Pluto TV app and see if it’s working properly now.

Dealing with streaming issues can be frustrating, but following these troubleshooting steps should resolve most problems when Pluto TV isn’t working on Roku. If you still encounter difficulties, consider contacting Roku’s customer support for further assistance and enjoy hassle-free streaming on your device.
